Iran’s ‘Katvoman’ to participate in FIFAK

Iranian ‘Katvoman’ is to vie at the Int'l Amateur Film Festival of Kelibia in Tunisia.

Iranian short flick ‘Katvoman’ has made its way to the International Amateur Film Festival of Kelibia (FIFAK) in Tunisia.

The Short Film News website reported that ‘Katvoman’ will compete at the 58th edition of the event.

The film, written and directed by Hadi Sheibani, is inspired by the character of Catwoman.

“Katvoman has become weak to the extent that she cannot save people anymore,” a synopsis for the film reads.

‘Katvoman’ received its world premiere at the 20th Molise Cinema Film Festival in Italy.

Founded in 1964, the FIFAK is one of the oldest film festivals in Africa.

It is “an essential place for discovering the talents and artistic creativity of young people,” website of the event reads.

The upcoming edition of the FIFAK will kick off on Saturday and run until August 20.
